Well it has been awhile since I updated this page, so there are several bits of news to share.
Firstly, the 'artgroup' have published four of my paintings, available as prints on paper and canvas,which is very exciting and full details are on the 'Artgroup' prints page.

Brighton Visitor magazine had a shopping feature and one of their selected stylists chose a print of mine; 'Zoom' as a top souvenir buy in Brighton.
Not many new paintings recently as I have been working on some commissions. I am however producing a range of photocards of real cakes( rather than paintings of cakes) with glitter adornment.

Really Fab Cards have opened a new shop on Eton High street, and stock a large range of my cards.

November 2009

The 'Artist Quarter' ( which is where my studio is) is holding a CHRISTMAS SHOPPING event, the last weekend of November. festive treats and offers for all.

Well its certainly been a while since I updated the news page!
The winter months have been rather quiet, but I have used the time to put together a website for the artist quarter, ( where my studio is ) as a whole. You can take a look here www.theartistquarter.co.uk

Nov 2008

After several weeks recovery following a major operation I am now back in the saddle..hoorah I'm still here !
Revamping my seafront arch with a splendid new sign and improvements for next spring. Working with Harrods again with new prints for next Feb, cards for Fortnum & Mason, and currently working on a commission for top Patissier Claire Clark, all exciting stuff, I'd better shape up!

Fab news: 'Three Weeks' who produce a guide to the Brighton festival have recommended my arch as one of their '3 TO SEE' ART exhibits in the festival. View article on the 'Press' page.

The private view evening on May 7th went very well,.... many thanks to all those who came along.
Now working on an 'Autumn/Winter window' backdrop painting for 'New & Lingwood' and preparing for another meeting with 'Harrods' at the end of the month.

MARCH 2008

My most recent commission, for 'New & Lingwood' ; 'Here Comes Summer' has been completed and can now be seen enlarged as a backdrop for their summer window display.Photos on the 'commissions' page.
Currently working on paintings for the May exhibition Art@10gs.

Currently working on a commission for 'New & Lingwood'of Jermyn Street London, for their spring window.

OCT 2007

What a busy summer, no time to update my website till now. The Giclee prints on canvas have taken off as have the greetings cards, and with the improvements to my arch I aim to keep opening on Saturdays up until Christmas this year.
I have also had a number of commissions and am supplying seven exclusive prints and cards for Harrods. I will display the images on my site but they will only be available through Harrods.


JUNE 2007

Good news I am now able to offer prints of many of my paintings. The 'PRINTS' Gallery is now added and will be updated regularly.If you are interested in a print of a painting other than those shown in the 'Print' gallery please enquire as often it can be arranged, ( paper or canvas). I am also commencing a new set of large canvases dedicated to Cupcakes and those childhood favourites..'Party Rings'. More work by Christine Ansell is also on show in my seafront arch..bold acrylics of those famous 'allsorts'.

SEEKING PICASSO EXHIBITION

There will be an exhibition of paintings from the 'Seeking Picasso' competition at the Brighton media centre, Middle Street, from Mon 21st - Thurs 24th May. Mon-1p.m. - 9.30, other days 10 a.m. - 9.30p.m..Monday evening there will be a private view party to which you are invited.

MAY 2007

Well here it is again, the Brighton Festival that is, and I am delighted to be showing for the first time work by a guest Artist for the festival month. Christine Ansell who was also a fellow Seeking Picasso competitor will be displaying a selection of her Beach Hut paintings...executed in gorgeous ice cream shades in her unique minimalist style.

MARCH 2007

Unfortunately now eliminated from the Seeking Picasso competition, but I have had a new floor and ceiling put in my Arch so its looking all very smart and can't wait to fill it with new work for the Brighton festival. I will be open each weekend in MAY from 11 - 5p.m.

Made it through to the final 10 for Seeking Picasso! The First auction on ebay ends at 9.p.m. on Weds 28 Feb,....you may pick up a bargain!

JANUARY 2007

Exciting news....., an internet based 'reality' type art project called 'Seeking Picasso' is about to take off and I have been successful in being chosen as one of 25 Artists to do a preliminary 'heat'. JUNE 2006

EASTBOURNE OPEN ART & SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
Three paintings have been selected to be in the first ever Eastbourne open. The Exhibition is being hosted by the Chaseley Trust and will be open on the 1st July 10 - 6 and 2nd July 10 - 5pm. The Chaseley trust Garden party is on the 1st from 2-5pm so would make a great afternoon out.It is situated on South Cliff next to the Hydro hotel facing the sea.

As part of Brighton Festival the seafront studio will be open from 11.00 - 6.00 each weekend in May.

APRIL 2006

This week I had the great pleasure of being invited to meet the Year 1 children of West Hove Infant School.Not being something I have ever done before I was rather nervous to say the least, but they were a delight, and keen to pick up any tips they could put to use in creating their own art work.

They will be exhibiting theirpictures inside a number of Beach Huts on Hove seafront during the weekend of 20th & 21st May, so if you fancy a seafront stroll go along and see them!
